nearly done with davy’s handsewing! waiting on some dye in the mail before I further attempt his tongue.
Made Davy’s cutie little backpack.will sew a snap on it when I do all his hand sewing. just some small shoulder details and his tongue left!
Steadily working through a commission of davy from the n64 game chameleon twist! I’ve been using a ton of French blue minky recently, and will for my next project too…
so this was a big leap for me in terms of plush making. not sure exactly what inspired me to make this guy.
my goal was to machine sew as much as possible. his marks are not appliqued on but machine sewn normally, with the exception of his little paw pads. i did have to hand sew on his dreads, and i had planned on making his head jointed but that didn’t work out so his head is hand-sewn on too. his arms are jointed. he’s capable of sitting or standing, but needs to lean up against something to stand. he has poly-pellets in his legs to help with that. his hands and feet have thread-sculpted details.
i used french blue, ash, white, and yellow minky for him. i love that the new blue color was perfect for him!
i’m pretty happy with how he turned out!
riolu already has a home lined up.
more riolu work! the head, except the dreads, is finalized. i’m using french blue for his coat, which i was really happy to find this new color is great for riolu. the gray is ash.
I’ve been working on a test body. still have quite a few more tweaks to do but overall I’m happy with the direction.
he will have beans in his legs and a jointed head and arms. he’s meant to be a floppy plush, so he has difficulty standing on his own but he can manage if propped up!
i don’t know why i haven’t thought to do these collages before.
she’s done and for sale!
no she’s not a hand puppet don’t even ask.
